My 22 Silverado RST needs a new engine, 6.2 at 23k miles. Started ticking and then just quit and seized! Engine is on back order with no eta! Took a month to get an appointment. We only have one dealer where I live and they are inundated with vehicles! So sad!

On my classic ram, I tested multiple tanks with and without MDS. At absolute best, there was a .1 increase in gas mileage using the MDS. this wasn’t anywhere near worth the throttle lag and loss of drivability

I have a 2014 ram 1500 5.7. With the mds on i get 18 mpg at 55mph, and 16.5 at 75 mph. With the mds off i get 23 mpg at 55, and 18.5 at 75. 4x4 trucks are to heavy for 4 cylinders.

I realize you already made your decision to get the 6.2 engine, but I came to this video because I too am trying to decide which engine to go with in my next truck. One additional consideration in the decision factor is that the 3.0 engine now has a 100,000 mile power train warranty vs. 60,000 with the 6.2. Many of the 6.2 engines that experience lifter issues do so right around the 60,000 mile mark. Unless you have an extended warranty you are looking at a $8,000 to $10,000 repair bill. Plus you will likely be waiting for 4 - 6 months for a replacement engine if needed. Are you satisfied with your decision to go with the 6.2? What is your real world fuel mileage?
